The Devine store explores the relationship between branding and retail design. The project engages in the synergies and ambiguity of symbol and architecture. We designed the client’s corporate identity and physically extrapolated the ‘DEVINE’ text into the architecture of the space. The text wraps around the floor, walls and ceiling switching from flat graphic to joinery to three dimensional signage and, ultimately, to the counter.
This elegant intervention reinforces the idea that architecture is a language and how a critical dialogue may be narrated through this language.
